The Second Ray of Consciousness: Trust

After the first ray of Remembering comes Trust, which is the second Ray of Consciousness. How we remember events and circumstances from past experience tends to shape the level of trust we have in our present. For example, past interactions and relationships with others will influence our willingness to trust and connect with people. And our history with how life has provided for us will affect our ability to trust that everything does happen for a reason and that it’s all unfolding in a timely manner. Trust in relationships, and trust in faith, are the two components of the second Ray of Consciousness.

There is a natural evolution in the access to consciousness that we develop in life. This unfolding in our awareness follows the order of the Five Rays of Consciousness from the first to the fifth. However, we are not guaranteed to receive the gift of each ray if we are not developing our awareness within each ray. So you can see that the way we remember things flows into the way we trust people and into how well we believe that the universe is providing for our success. If there is a shift in the first ray, there is a cascade through the subsequent rays.

We develop the second ray of trust as we grow and interact with others and have experiences in life. As babies, we are born into our bodies as individual souls, but we came from the great oneness of the universe. We are still connected to the Energetic Intelligence of the Universal Spirit which energetically supports the consciousness of the first ray of remembering. As we grow older and begin interacting with others, we learn how to connect as an individual soul to another. The Soul Energetic Intelligence energetically supports the consciousness of trust, which is what the soul does. Our soul trusts and connects unconditionally to people and it has boundless faith.

In developing our awareness of this ray within us, we learn what it means to be a soul and the power of the Soul Energetic Intelligence. We experience the depth of connecting with others at a soul level. We revel in the emotions of joy, wonder and bliss as we experience gratitude for the beauty that life provides. We feel the rhythm in others and in the world around us, and we feel how we contribute to it. We experience our connections beyond words and feel the energy that links us to everyone and everything. Trusting another soul means being wide open and possibly vulnerable, which is why the way we remember our past can affect our experience of this ray.

Clarence Smithson defines faith as “the ability to see the invisible, believe in the incredible, in order to receive what the masses think is impossible”. This is what we do when we have faith. We believe something before we see it, rather than the inverse. This belief allows us to trust that everything is put in our path in order for us to succeed. It sets our creative subconscious in motion which begins attracting towards us everything we need. When we trust and have faith, our connection through the Soul Intelligence to others and to our environment makes it evident that everything is provided and that we can create whatever we can dream.

As you can see, the gifts of the Second Ray of Consciousness are great and wonderful. Most of the time, we are not all receiving them even though they are there for the taking.
