Questions that Bring Us into the Season of Transform

In the last article we discussed the questions that related to the energy of the Season of Discover.  These questions were focused around feeling helpless, finding blame, seeking outside help, and feeling stuck.  They focused our awareness on a problem that we perceived as external to ourselves.

In this article, we will concentrate on the questions that raise our awareness to a level of involvement in the situation or circumstance.  These questions address the fact that there is something happening, and there is us responding to what is happening.  In Transform we see a situation or circumstance -- the same one we would have considered a problem in Discover -- as a challenge.  It is a stepping stone towards a goal that we wish to attain.

As in the season of Discover, the questions in Transform are associated with the Twelve Stages of Healing.  The stages associated with Transform are stages 4, 5, 6 and 7.

  • Stage 4--Reclaiming Our Power--We decide to take responsibility for our role in the situation.  We will never give our power away and allow this to happen again.

  • Stage 5--Merging with the Illusion--We decide to take the leap of faith and go beyond the point we normally backed down from so we can see what is really happening.

  • Stage 6--Preparing for Resolution--We build up energy and momentum until we become unstoppable.  We are willing to do whatever it takes to reach our goal.

  • Stage 7--Resolution--We resolve, once and for all, a pattern that no longer serves us.  We dump what no longer defines us and gain freedom from ourselves.

The season of Transform is all about learning how we built an entire identity around protecting ourselves from harm.  It is about deciding what we want in our lives rather than preventing what we don't want.  The questions are very goal-oriented and always contain action words.

Questions we may ask ourselves in Transform include:

Stage 4 Questions:

  • What can I do to never disempower myself again?

  • How can I express more of my courage now?

Stage 5 Questions:

  • What's really happening here?

  • How can I face this now?

Stage 6 Questions:

  • What can I do to really be ready?

  • What must I do now?

Stage 7 questions:

  • How can I resolve this?

  • How can I conduct an inventory and get rid of that which no longer serves me?

The questions in Transform keep us looking for solutions to the challenges we encounter.
They keep us in a resourceful, action-oriented state.

We make things happen in the Season of Transform and we shape our lives in to what we want.  It is very important to keep our awareness in this season when we are looking to make changes and take action in our lives.  For this reason it is critical that the questions we ask ourselves keep us in this season.  Asking Discover questions will immediately drop us to the consciousness of that season.

Observe the questions you are asking yourself and see if you can distinguish between the Discover questions and the Transform questions.  Re-assessing a situation or circumstance with a Transform question can shift your state from seeing it as an obstacle to seeing it as a necessary step towards the goal.  The difference in empowerment is monumental.
