Ascending to Enlightenment

Merging into Wholeness

Explaining the consciousness of Stage 10—Ascent is a really interesting feat since we left the energetic intelligence of the mind when we moved into Awaken in Stage 8. Going from Stage 9 into Stage 10 we are also leaving the Energetic Intelligence of the Soul and moving into the Universal Spirit Intelligence. Thoughts and words are of the mind. Effortless knowing is of the soul. With the universal spirit comes oneness. How do you put that into words?

The mind wants to know what to do. It asks questions and seeks answers. The soul comes with a knowing of its purpose and the gifts it brings to the world. The soul can give the mind direction from a place of purpose and meaning so that our actions can be guided in a way whereby we express our uniqueness while sharing our gifts with the world. The soul gives each being its characteristic flavour which each individual can share to create a brilliant and delicious soup as we all come together.

In Stage 10, we all do come together and we go beyond. Stage 10 is a merging stage and has similarities to Stage 5 where we merged with the illusion of our alienated self. In Stage 10, we merge with the illusion of our alienated separateness. The healing that happens comes with the realization that we were never separate. Both stages involve a merging breath which is in the mouth, out the mouth.

Merging into wholeness requires an analogy to explain it. Donald Epstein has described it as taking a teacup of water from the ocean. While the water is separated from the ocean in the cup, it is still part of the ocean. If you tip the cup’s contents back in the ocean, it is impossible to distinguish the water from the cup from the water in the ocean. So in Stage 10 we merge beyond our teacups!

When we merge and ascend to the wholeness and oneness of all, time and space become irrelevant. All wisdom of all the ages is shared with us since we simply become it. We speak and understand different languages. Prayers and sacred scriptures are transmitted through us. Anything we need comes to us by download from the all. It really makes me think of a religion class when I was small when a teacher was telling us about the apostles receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. They understood and were understood, regardless of the language of the people they were preaching to.

In Stage 9—The Light Behind the Form, we realized that there is light beneath our physical body and that we are more than we thought we were. We recognized that this light is in us, is in all things and that it connects us to others. In Stage 10—Ascent, we realize that we are the light, and we experience the oneness of all. With this experience comes an amazing expansive feeling of freedom. We no longer perceive ourselves as a fragment of the universe; rather we know we are the universe. We become enlightened and join all the ascended masters in all knowing. While this is the ultimate goal of spiritual practices around the world, the more we seek it, the more it evades us.

Since we are all woven from the same fabric, and we are all one to begin with, exhausting ourselves trying to see it and experience it can be frustrating and futile. You can’t do anything to become enlightened. What seems to happen is that people who are not seeking it just happen to stumble upon the experience. They gain insight and their lives are forever changed. Then they come back to Earth where they live out their purpose, giving their gifts and receiving the gifts of others. This leads us to Stage 11—Descent.
